Tilos - where the 1st Greek gay & Lesbian weddings took place!
Tilos is where the first Greek gay and lesbian weddings took place on Tuesday 3 of June 2008. A quiet island situated between the islands of Nissiros and Chalki in Dodecanese close to Rhodes, Tilos has around 300 inhabitants today and two basic settlements, Livadia
which is the island's port, and Megalo Horio the capital.
An island with rocky, steep coasts and several caves, with more than 125 wild bird species, 378 documented plant species, 6 mountains, 7 ancient castles and hundreds of Byzantine chapels, 19 beaches, which are accessible by road, some only by sea or on foot and an underground network of freshwater springs that nourish the entire island including the fertile agricultural valley of Eristos to the south.

• Livadia port.
• Megalo Horio village and its capital with the Taxiarchis church.
• Old settlement of “Gera”.
• Micro Horio with its churches that have frescoes from 18th and 15th centuries...
