Praque is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It contains one of the world's most pristine and varied collections of architecture, from Art Nouveau to Baroque, Renaissance, Cubist, Gothic, Neo-Classical and ultra-modern.
Prague is traditionally one of the cultural centers of Europe, hosting many cultural events. There are hundreds of concert halls, galleries, cinemas and music clubs in the city. Prague hosts Music Festivals, Film Festivals as well as hundreds of Vernissages and Fashion Shows.
Prague gay scene, mainly centred around the Vinohrady area (close to the city centre), is particularly vibrant and accessible. More than half a dozen new bars or clubs have opened up in the last year alone and there are around 25 gay bars, discos and saunas in the city as a whole.
The Lesbian scene is limited to just a couple of bars: Street Cafe and Jampa Dampa has the largest lesbian presence of all the bars and is particularly popular on weekend nights, (neither of which are exclusively Lesbian). Most of the gay bars and clubs are open and welcoming to women and some have specific lesbian nights. At the Saints recently launched weekly ‘Ladies Night’, known as 'Saint Bitch' on Thursdays. Also club Valentino and Termix are also popular with lesbians although the men are certainly in the majority here.
